Map of the Cycle Chic Blog Network

Cycle Chic network map

I was working on my Bicycle Tour Wishlist and thought it would be interesting to make a Cycle Chic network map too.

I've mapped the place-based Cycle Chic blogs. Bloggers, please let me know if I missed your blog and I'll add it.

The goal is to map the global Cycle Chic network so that it is easy for non-bicycle enthusiasts to navigate and understand the network.

What do you think?
Useful? Stupid?
Suggestions for improvement?
Cool widget design?

Bloggers, if you send me one of your reader's favorite photos and/or a paragraph describing your blog, I'd be happy to post it. Example above.

*Update: Note I've moved the map to a different Google account (different map link) so others can edit it in the future.

Yes I love it too. I thought there was a South African cycle chic. You can tweeted about it sometime last year...

It will be fun to watch the map 'mushroom' all over the globe. I don't necessarily think 'cycle chic' has to be the qualifier to get on the map.
I detest labels at times, besides my BF has taken to calling CCC - Copenhagen Psycho Sheep ;)
With all proper due given to CCC, there is a movement a foot, not so sure I can subscribe to the moniker 'cycle chic' anymore. Just me.

RidingPretty, I see your point. This is why I use 'bicycle style' here on BBTS.

Example: If someone just rolled out of bed, hopped on his bicycle, and happens to look cool - that is bicycle style.

I, too, suspect that the map will mushroom this year.

The key word is place-based... to promote bicycle tourism.

I can see the map being useful for both everyday people/tourists, and as a tool to convince policy makers and urban designers to build bike-friendly cities.

To be continued. :)
