In Del Mar, I see many local teens cycling without shoes. I see it quite often now that it's summer. Not so chic, but that's the SoCal beach bike-culture.

Who needs shoes on a bike when your that close to the beach? During the summer here in Missoula, there are plenty of people going shoeless, even when the nearest beach is a long way off.
